Digital Accessibility - Understanding WCAG requirements
Presented by Matthew Elefant
Having a website that is accessible for people with disabilities is no longer a nice to have consideration. Recent court cases have proven that websites are covered under title II and title III of the ADA. In this course we will cover a foundational understanding of the importance of accessibility and how the WCAG guidelines apply to the various disciplines needed to build an accessible website. This program will be broken in to 3 parts:
Accessibility Overview: Background on the WCAG 2.1 AA standard and how it applies to the ADA title 3.
Accessible Technologies: Introduction to the various accessible technologies, and how people with a disability use them to manage technology.
Accessibility Best Practices: Common errors and best practices when trying to design, build and add content with accessibility in mind.
