Injecting React Into Your Authoring Experience

Improving your CMS content-authoring experience should always be a goal as a developer. Through paragraph bundles and custom field types we can achieve most of our data needs, but Drupal node forms can often become large, complex and confusing. In addition, sometimes we have some complex data needs that extend beyond text fields, select lists, and check boxes.

At Bluecadet, one way we have used to simplify forms is by adding React components into our form fields. Not only does this “prettify” our forms, it also helps create a smoother and more enjoyable authoring experience enabling authors to concentrate on their content rather than figuring out how to wrangle the CMS. In this talk we will cover the basics of how we alter and inject React into field widgets.
