How To Enable Debug Mode in Drupal 8 & 9

Many new Drupal developers get frustrated with the lack of help when they encounter the dreaded "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later" error.

The normal solution is to click back in the browser, click on Reports and view the Recent Log Messages. The problem is - sometimes that doesn't work.

By adding one line of code to a Drupal file, you can push those errors to the screen as soon as they happen, enabling you to see just what went wrong right away.
